Change Management

“Being successful at change management is the most important leadership skill in any organization”.
Successful adaptation to change is as crucial within an organization as it is in the natural world. Just like plants and animals, organizations and the individuals in them inevitably encounter changing conditions that they are powerless to control. The more effectively you deal with change, the more likely you are to thrive.
Adaptation might involve establishing a structured methodology for responding to changes in the business environment (such as a fluctuation in the economy, or a threat from a competitor) or establishing coping mechanisms for responding to changes in the workplace (such as new policies, or technologies).

What Change Management is all about
The Change Management course deals with the effects and management of change and, more importantly, the impact change can have on all organisations. Working with Esther Cameron and Mike Green and building on the concepts in their book “Making Sense of Change Management” we have developed a training course to help organisations and their people come to terms with these issues.

When the certificate will be received
A candidate will receive their Change management certificate 2-3 weeks after the exam result has been released. Please note that if you have taken your examinations via an Accredited Training Organisation (ATO); the certificates will be dispatched to the ATO. Therefore if you have not received your certificate in the above time frames please contact the ATO directly who can contact the APM Group (APMG) on your behalf for a replacement.

What the Structure of the Change Management course is
There are four modules comprising the Principles of Change Management qualification, dealing with the theories of how change impacts on and is affected by :
  • The Individual
  • The Team
  • The Organisation
  • The Change Leader
You can become certified in the Principles of Change Management through completing these four modules and a multiple-choice exam.

What the Change Management exam structure is
As of the 1 September 2008, the Foundation exam structure is:
  • 1 hour multiple choice
  • Closed book
  • Four sections, total of 60 questions
  • 15 questions per section
  • Candidate must score 40 out of 60 to pass
Below is the general course outline of our Project Management training program. Every course contains classes where the delegates take mock exams and examine practical case studies.
Every course also features a Longhall Consulting Business Productivity Tool (BPT), which though not part of the course instruction required for examination, they are however useful as they arm our clients with tools that will not only make them better managers but also improve the quality of their output in the work place.
